I had been teaching abroad (Kenya, Malaysia) since gaining QTS and was returning to the UK to live. I’d applied for a number of jobs online and hadn’t even received an invitation to interview. I was therefore a little apprehensive about being able to secure employment in the UK prior to my arrival.



When someone suggested I try Synarbor Education I thought I’d give it a shot. It turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I put my application in on Friday. First thing on Monday I got a call on my mobile phone in Malaysia from the office in Australia and we had a chat about what I was looking for. My representative came across as being very positive and knowledgeable about the UK job market for teachers and her ‘can do’ attitude was infectious and very encouraging.



What happened next was even more amazing! That evening I got a call from the London office. They had organized an interview with a school for me for that evening. I was briefed about the school in detail. My representative was very candid and went into quite some detail about the school itself and the people who would interview me. They also emailed me a link to the school’s website.



After I’d done some research, they called me back and briefed me about interview techniques and put me at ease about the whole process. I was then connected to the school and I had the interview. At the end of the interview I held for a few minutes and then was given some immediate feedback by the London office. A little later Global Education called me to tell me I’d been offered the job!



The follow up support from Synarbor Education had been equally efficient and they have been very active in helping me get all the paperwork sorted out.
